York Minster Gin
TASTING NOTES
Earthy juniper, refreshing citrus and lightly spiced pepper. along with herbacous and floral notes. This dry gin is 42.5% ABV.
At its base is one of the world’s finest gins, York Gin London Dry, Good Housekeeping’s Best Gin for 2024.
York Gin London Dry’s nine classic botanicals are complemented beautifully by herbs from the Minster's very own park along with York Minster Rose petals.
Leaves from the Artemisia arborescens plant in the Minster’s Dean’s Park add delightfully herbaceous notes to this dry gin, planting it firmly in our ancient city.
Meanwhile the creamy white petals provide a floral nod to the Minster’s Rose Window - originally constructed over five centuries ago.
About York Minster Gin and York Gin
York Minster Gin is a collaboration between York Gin and the iconic gothic cathedral - the very symbol of York. A proportion of every sale goes back to the Minster to support its work and upkeep.
Made in York Gin’s sustainable distillery, this gin adds another line to York Minster’s incredible history which stretches back many centuries. The botanicals are vapour infused in a beautiful traditional copper still to ensure absolute consistency of taste.
The label has an illustration of the Minster’s West End - with the cat from York Gin’s logo sitting proudly on the building. The cat is one of York’s historic symbols - and cats have been associated with gin since the 18th Century.
