York Distillery is a beautiful boutique distillery in the centre of York. This delightful space hosts fun and fascinating gin-tasting, gin-making classes and cocktail classes. It is also available for private parties and corporate events.

Enjoy two full G&Ts and taste a wide selection of our award-winning range. You'll also learn about gin's amazing legends, myths and history.

These are held at our lovely Pavement shop after shop hours Friday and Saturday evenings 6.30 in August and September 2024.

York Gin Tastings at the York Distillery, Skeldergate - From October 2024

From October onwards our celebrated gin tastings, including our Festive Gin Tastings will be at the new York Distillery.

This is 5 minutes from the York Gin shop.
Note: Timings include Friday and Saturday late afternoons, so you're finished in time for evening restaurant bookings.

York Distillery, a home of York Gin, is on Skeldergate, York. Walking distance from the centre, within the city walls.

Tastings in November and December include a Festive cocktail in place of a standard Gin & Tonic.

You’ll learn lots and really understand gin-making with our famously friendly and knowledgeable York Gin Experts. Plus take home your unique spirit.
Make your own gin, with the help of our team of experts.
You'll distill your own gin - and keep your recipe for you to order it again.

How it works

While you create your won gin, you'll also learn about gin's amazing legends, myths and history.
Plus you'll try a few samples on your way, and, depending on the season, harvest some plants directly from our garden or use locally harvested delicious botanicals.
