Not only have we been busy distilling, bottling, labelling and distributing.

We’ve also been busily chatting to local journalists - and have been enjoying sharing what's happening on social media.

The lovely people at York Mix came along to the see us in the cold early days of 2018.

On 25 January, York Mix told the world to expect something called York Gin with their article ‘What a tonic! York gets its first ever gin distillery’.

We were literally setting up when they came along. So much has happened since then, it’s difficult to believe they visited in 2018!

Next came Minister FM on 5 February - they were equally supportive, loved our gin and gave us a lovely write-up and we heard Emma’s voice on the airwaves around York.

Next - in March - came our local newspaper, The York Press, who were interested in the business angle of York Gin.

Business Editor Laura Knowlson had a good look around the distillery and chatted to us about the venture, its history and our hopes for the business.

She started with the line that makes us very proud.

‘York now has its own self-titled gin brand as production gets underway at the first distillery within the city’s boundary.’
