York Gin is having an interesting time at the moment with a mix of real challenges (like many other businesses) and some amazing opportunities.

We have just released York Gin Rhubarb - due to popular demand for this iconic Yorkshire flavour.

Sales have been through the roof and feedback has been amazing - with the Daily Telegraph including the gin as one of the best five gins for Spring 2023.

York Gin is also Gin of the Month for March at the mighty Craft Gin Club - a huge opportunity to reach tens of thousands of new gin lovers.

And the exclusive Jorvik Spring gin has received an incredible reaction from members - hundreds of social media messages are waxing lyrical about this gin.

A number of challenges have also hit the company over recent months too. 

From train strikes, the cost of living crisis and energy and product costs increasing enormously, along with Covid and a break-in that saw all our stock stolen in 2022.

All of these challenges have impacted finances - so York Gin has had to look at its structure, its projects and is making changes to meet these challenges. We are working hard to keep jobs and ensure everyone enjoys York Gin for many more years to come.

The York Gin shop on Pavement is an iconic attraction for visitors to York. The free tasters, brilliant service from our gin experts and the range of York-made gins and gifts combine to make it a must-visit shop for thousands of customers each month. The shop also has a large and loyal local customer base, with growing numbers using the bottle refill station - one of the company’s many sustainable projects.
After-hours tasting experiences are a growing part of the business with up to 16 guests enjoying the fun and fascinating classes on Friday and Saturday nights after the shop has shut.

The shop is open and fully stocked and the tastings are continuing.

The company has a strong underlying brand, a successful award-winning retail store, a growing online presence and a secure local on- and off-trade position.
